Welcome to the Valley Isle: Maui

Last Monday kicked off Kaua’i Week, the first of The Hawaii Traveler’s Island Weeks, in which we focus our week’s posts to one island in particular. Today marks another Monday, and a week in which we turn to Maui, the Valley Isle. Maui, the second largest Hawaiian island, is often lumped together with its neighbors, Lana’i and Moloka’i to form what’s known as the Magic Isles, and I have to say that it’s no work of marketing. They really are.
Tomorrow kicks off our quest for Maui knowledge with our Tuesday Test.
- The Maui Visitors Bureau is an excellent resource for learning about the lore and features.
- The Maui News has been keeping you up to date on what’s happening in the area since 1900.
- I’ve been reading the Maui Real Estate Blog for years, and it’s never disappointed in terms of keeping me educated and in the know with regards to the housing market.
Until tomorrow, aloha!
