Baby Loves Disco Takes Honolulu
If you don’t know Baby Loves Disco, it’s just about the most fun you can have with your baby…at a disco. Before you wonder if you should call Child Protective Services on people who take their children to nightclubs, hold the phone.
Baby Loves Disco is a nationwide movement at which the hippest clubs in town transform themselves into child-friendly hotspots for kids and adults to boogie to tunes from the ’70s and ’80s. It’s real music, spun by real DJs, for people who are real sick of listening to Barney and The Wiggles all the time. (No offense to either). The next island Disco date is 2-5 p.m. Aug. 16 and Sept. 20 at the O Lounge, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd.
Once a month, people of all ages gather to groove out to their favorite tunes, and get a little conversation with their peers to boot. And did someone say cocktails? Healthy snacks and juice boxes are provided, along with stroller parking, a changing station and chill-out area with books and kid-friendly activities, hula hoops, rhythm instruments, swirly scarves, and more.
Look for a September date at which little goodie bags from Parents Magazine will be included. Admission is $12 tickets per walking human.

I love this idea. There are so many places where people think its ok to bring their 3 year old, that’s great that they’ve designated a place entirely for their parents and children.
