It’s the Hawai’i gear superstore visited by tourists and locals alike, and the place where you can buy a pound of Kona coffee, an aloha shirt, a dashboard hula girl, a lei, a box of macadamia nuts, and a set of pina colada stemware on the fly. It’s Hilo Hatties, the ubiquitous sign of island signature items for the comfy climate lover since the ’60s. It’s the only store I know of with its own free shuttle.
